How Éla works

Join the waitlist and tell us if you’re more interested in borrowing, lending, or both. This helps us understand who Éla is serving first.

Step 2 — We curate & review

We review submissions carefully, focusing on quality, condition, and alignment with Éla’s values and aesthetic.

Step 3 — Borrow for key moments

Borrowers will be able to explore a curated selection of abayas, request dates, and enjoy them for special occasions.

Step 4 — Lenders earn from their pieces

Lenders keep ownership of their abayas while earning each time a piece is rented, with clear expectations on care and returns.

Is Éla a subscription or per rental?

For now, Éla is designed as pay-per-rental. Membership or bundled options may be explored later as we learn from the first users.

Does joining the waitlist guarantee access?

Not necessarily. The waitlist helps us understand interest, shape the first version, and invite people gradually as we roll out.

What happens if an abaya gets damaged?

We’ll have clear guidelines on normal wear, minor damage, and major damage, shared before anyone completes a rental through Éla.

Who can become a lender?

We prioritize abayas in excellent condition, from trusted designers or brands, and aligned with Éla’s overall aesthetic and quality standards.

Which city are you starting in?

We’re beginning with Riyadh, with the potential to expand based on demand and operational readiness.
